What to Expect at Wonder

Culture statements

Genuine love and inner character are more important than outward spiritual gifts and impressive acts. True spiritual health is evident in displaying the fruit of the Spirit. God looks at the heart behind the behavior and desires that we would live from the inside out. – 1 Cor. 1:13-13; 1 Cor. 15:3; Matt. 7:22-23; Gal. 5:22-23.

God uses people to disciple people. It is only in the context of relationship with God and others that we can do the things that Jesus instructed us to do. – Gal. 6:2-4; Jn. 13:35; Eph. 2:19-22.

Humility is required for entrance into the Kingdom of God and it is the culture of the Kingdom. If Jesus was humble, his followers must be also. By embracing humility, we embrace the heart of God, and that is honorable. – Prov. 15:33; Phil. 2:3; Mark 9:35; 1 Peter 2:17; Js. 2:2-4; 1 Tim. 5:17; Acts 5:29; Matt. 18:15-17; Phil. 2:5-11.

True success comes from following God’s timing, not rushing through life. We work diligently but without hurry, trusting that God’s timing is perfect. By aligning with God’s pace, we find rest, avoid burnout, and face challenges with confidence. Prov. 19:2; Rom. 5:6; Matt. 11:28-30; Deut. 5:15; Heb. 4:9-11; Jn 5:19; Lk. 9:51; Is. 50:7.

We hold the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We are dedicated to studying and applying its truths, aligning our lives to its teachings, and allowing it to guide our faith and actions in all areas of life. If we disagree with the Bible, we are wrong. – 2 Tim. 3:16.

Jesus’ sacrifice gives us direct access to God’s presence. His Presence can be experienced anywhere and anytime. We enter into His Presence authentically knowing He is where we belong. – Heb. 10:18-22; Ps. 27:48; Rev. 19:6-8.

Hearts captured by the infinite love and power of God continually pursue more of Him. We fight to maintain a heart of wonder by resisting complacency or shallow understanding. This attitude encourages a journey of faith marked by ongoing discovery and devotion, echoing biblical examples where faithfulness and passion for God are sustained through active engagement and deepening intimacy. – Eph. 3:14-21; Rev. 2:4.
